Change of pace

Few big changes recently so fitting working on a board that is a big change.  Stringerless EPS getting closer to done.  Should have it completed this week to add to the ever growing quiver.

Skim Shape

Finless and ready to go.  Shaped up this board to push the balance between float/speed and maneuverability.  The blunt nose lets you lose some swing length and get forward on the center for driving down lines as well as giving you a nice squash tail for riding switch.  The tail is really pulled in through two subtle wings to turn fast when riding from the back foot.  Over all the rails are really pushing the limit of being rounded until it hits the rear wings they switch up to provide hold on the face and release off the lip.  Good to have riders willing to step out to of the box and come up with and try progressive shapes.

Spring it

More left over pics from a few weeks ago.  Hope Spring brings some fun swell and stops with all the rain.

Neto

Little bit of morning stress relief when the waves don't show up on time.

New spot

Started shaping up two new skim shapes in the new shapeing area.  Hope to get a few new surf shapes done now that Spring is here.

Trails

Not a lot of Trails going on this winter.  With the time change just around the corner maybe spring will give up some evening sessions.  Until then a few old pics of a fun afternoon and one the the huts I built to hang out in.

After a few bottles of wine last night expected to wake up with more of a hangover than a suprise little surf session.  Feels good to finally be back to wave riding no matter the conditions.

Its so icey

Flew in from icey NJ to pick up a new Neto shaped skimboard.  Fitting it was the coldest morning of the year here in Laguna.

More from last week

Another fun week of swell.  Took out the 5'5" twin fin on a fun fast day.  Could have used some bigger fins for some more drive and better hold on the steeper ones but it was still fun to pull into some closeouts.

Stringer time

The EPS experiment is still in full swing.  Finally got a stringer laid out on top and wrapped the rails.  Epoxied a layer of 6oz on it today so hopefully it will be on to the bottom soon.

Winter day

This winter has not been the best but the last week finally got fun.  Good waves all last week and warm.  Carolyn snapped a few pic this morning, this is how more days should start.

Sun Shades

Thanks to the talented Thibaud family I got a new pair of shades from Muchu's brother.  He makes glasses for Jean Claude Jean Claude and now I am the proud owner of a pair that made the transatlantic journey to Neto headquarters.
