Working to play

With any project you have to have your least favorite part, sanding is mine. To counter that I am making a concerted effort to try and enjoy it and make it better who knows someday I may love sanding most. My problem is besides the dust and time is that the whole time I am thinking about how close I am to riding it. Waves are constantly running through my mind and all I want to do is try out the board.

Eye on the prize

How many wave pictures have you seen? Some how it never gets old and still excites you every time you see an empty face or beckoning pocket. Took this in St. Kitts a long time ago on a little break that offered up some great waves.

Think Small

New stick in the works. This one is for me which is fun to be able to have no restrictions. Not sure what it is going to be exactly thinking 5'3" single fin. Just going with the flow and will see what happens.

Couple fun little waves from the last few weeks. With water temps creeping down sessions are getting shorter.

Cold and welcoming

Fun day of strong offshores and good swell. The camera did not like the cold and wind and most pictures ended up full of fog. Would have been real good if 5mil suits didn't make duckdiving suck.

Last of 2011

Finaly got some swell and warm weather. The bouys read 17' at 11 sec with 35mph wind so that is about 7' faces on the sets for RI. The tide was a little high and it was super hard to find the good peak before you got cleaned up by a set.

Transportation

Friends old garage built in the 1800's. Something about tools and materials and know how that has always intrigued me. Being able to build something that is useful and can give you the freedom to do what ever you want is a skill not everyone has but is invaluable. The ultimate dream has always been to build a epic barn on the ocean that can house a workshop capable of building boats, surfboards, motorcycles and fabricating tools.

Scored some fun waves today in RI nice and empty for a few hours before the masses showed up.

Putting the finishing touches on a new work shop area, multi purpose room for building surf , sailing and any other stuff.
