Muddy Waters
Finaly a bit of waves to work with. Short period windswell but better than nothing. Took out the Franken and the Redrocket as well as snapped a few pics with the new camera.

Random oldness
With the coming close to the year and lack of waves I turned to the archives and found a couple pics that bring back fond memories...

Red rocket
Saved from a certian death at the hands of the trash man the red rocket made its debut this morning. Fully repaired from a long life of service it still rides really fun in the shoulder high trestles morning surf. Paddles fast and drives down the line very well, going to be fun to get it into some bigger mushy liners and see how fast it can go. Sure do not have to worry about anyone stealing this one at the beach with its amazing ghetto finish.

Surf History
This board has been in the biggest waves ever surfed. The board that Dorian paddled into Wiamea on last winter. Pretty cool.

Frankenstein
Keeping in the holiday spirit started up a Franken board. So far just pieces to the puzzle from an old 8 footer drying out.

Offshore
Some not so great pics of a fun morning. Pulled from a very dirty gopro before the batteries died. Clean empty lines.

Rain
Took a bunch of boards out on Friday. 6 boards for 3 riders. Overall it was fun despite rain and crowds. Tried out the white board pictured below. Put in a 6.5" center fin and caught a few fun ones.

Work to be done.
Got back to work on the new board. Busy doing some repairs and going to the beach the last week so haven't had time to shape. Finished planning out the thickness. It is going to be 2 3/8". Skinned the top and started doing some dome work. Still undecieded as to the final tail template as you can see from the lines.

Not even out yet 1.2
Mowing foam today. Thinned out the blank to 2 ½” and flattened out the rocker a little in the middle of the board. Started the single concave but didn’t have time to get to far on it.

Not even out yet.
This board is so new new that it isn't even out yet. Planning on documenting the steps every half hour of work for this board to follow the progression. This may change due to the breaking of the second camera in two weeks.
So far what you need to know: U.S. Blanks EPS 6'3"R no stringer.

Bang Bang
New little handgun I shaped up from a scrap off one of the boards. Works pretty well and may get me out body surfing more often.

Weekend delay.
Finally a summer weekend rolled through. Jason got a new board in the top pic so we went down to trails to see if it floats. Notice no wetsuits, only took until Fall comes around to be able to enjoy the warmth. 5'8" Quad fish.

This board will get more waves than your board.
New fish skim for some serious waves. Lots going on here tapered nose and heavily tapered tail. Pulled in tail template from the classic fish. Surf rails from tapered up front to a little over box in the middle ending in a nice hard boxy tail.
